Company Overview
Open Doors Organization (ODO) is a non-profit disability advocacy organization that works with businesses in travel and tourism to better serve people with disabilities. In addition to a suite of training services, ODO provides guidance on accessible design and regulatory compliance, conducts market research and participates in federal research initiatives, and operates the Service Animal Forms Portal, a centralized system for storing required documentation for people traveling with service animals.
Position Summary
The Program Manager will be responsible for the oversight and day-to-day operations of the Service Animal Forms Portal (SAFP) including, but not limited to:
· Managing the SAFP Team including scheduling, initial and recurrent training, performance management, and coordinating/conducting regular team meetings
· Serving as the main Point of Contact for team members and business partners
· Staying informed on relevant regulations and business partner policies
· Handling escalations with efficient and professional resolution
· Performing regular checks of the SAFP system’s functionality and working with developers to address problems as they arise
· Conducting training for business partner employees on the use of the system
· Completing detailed and accurate reports for business partners
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Management experience required
· 5 years of customer service experience preferred
· Have basic knowledge and provide expertise on legislation and regulatory requirements pertaining to accessibility and individuals with disabilities (i.e. Air Carrier Access Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Rehabilitation Act and Section 504)
· Proficient in basic computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Suite, internet browsers, email systems) required
· Experience with using and troubleshooting new digital technologies preferred
· Self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently
· Approachable, positive and professional attitude and demeanor
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
