Job Overview

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing excellent customer service. You will also support and provide excellent customer service to the Kalona Creamery retail store as needed. This position will require working weekend shifts.

Primary Duties

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso, and specialty drinks
• Handle basic food preparation, such as pastries, breakfast items, and production of ice cream
• Support the Kalona Creamery Retail store team as needed
• Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly and positive attitude
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and retail store
• Rotate and stock inventory for retail shelves and reach-in coolers
• Follow all health and safety guidelines for food and beverage handling
• Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards

Requirements

• Passion for coffee and customer service
• Previous barista or food service experience (preferred, but not required)
• Ability to work early morning shifts with reliability and punctuality
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced setting
