Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Product Manager to lead the development and growth of our Payroll capabilities within the OpenGov Financials suite. This role requires a deep understanding of payroll processes, public sector financial regulations, and software product development. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, customer success, and government stakeholders to deliver a high-value product that simplifies payroll management for local and regional governments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Payroll offering
- Ensure the payroll solution meets all relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., tax reporting, pension contributions, labor laws) for the government sector.
- Conduct market research and engage with customers to identify needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and customer success to deliver high-quality product features.
- Prioritize features and create detailed product requirements documents
- Analyze product performance metrics and user feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and public sector payroll regulations
- Participate in customer-facing activities, including demos, discovery sessions, and industry events
- Contribute to the overall product strategy of the OpenGov Financials suite
Qualifications
Bonus Experience
100,000 - $160,000 a yearOn target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
