PART-TIME Custodian/Housekeeper (12PM-5PM; M-F)

Salary: $16.00 per hour

PART TIME: 12pm-5pm MON-FRI

Residency Requirement: Primary residence must be in the state of Georgia

Job Summary

Provide cleaning support services in the areas of housekeeping within the entire building/campus. Consistently keep the bathroom clean and stocked of paper towels, toilet tissue, and hand soap. Vacuum, mop, and sweep areas such as the administrative section and kitchen/breakrooms. Manage trash and recycle bins within all office space and or spaces with trash bins.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Duties/ Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuum floors and gather and empties trash.
• Mops, cleans, sanitizes and re-stocks all restrooms with soap, tissues, and paper towels etc.
• Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers.
• Manages inventory of cleaning supplies
• Responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glass etc.
• Collect and remove all trash from office areas, bathrooms
• Responsible for cleaning break rooms, restocking of supplies (coffee, creamer, sugar, cups, plates, spoons, forks, napkins) in the locked cabinet in the main break room and in the unlocked drawers and cabinets available to all. Employee will also be responsible for keeping countertops, sink, tables and chairs clean and orderly and will empty trash as needed.
• Will maintain an adequate stock of coffee, coffee filters, cups, creamer, sugar, sweetener, cleaning rags, dishwasher soap and dish detergent in the small kitchen near the front of the building. Employees will also be responsible for keeping countertops and sink clean and orderly and will empty trash as needed.
• On occasion employee will be called upon to assist with setting up for and breaking down meeting rooms.
• On occasion will be called upon to work with Maintenance/Facilities tech with projects within plant or around plant grounds
• Disinfecting surfaces, including desktops, countertops, and door handles etc.
• Help on occasions with routine maintenance activities and heavy cleaning duties

Required Skills/Ability

• Ability to read and comprehend oral and written instructions and/or directives.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and work well unsupervised and carry out tasks in a safety and timely manner
• Ability to operate vacuum cleaner and other housekeeping equipment.
• Knowledge of appropriate cleaning practices, technique, procedures and awareness of safety procedures.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and acceptable reading skills.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and to stand for long periods of time. The job requires repetitive and continuous intensive physical labor.
