What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Clinic Operator position at Open Health Care Clinic?
JOB PURPOSE:
The Mobile Clinic Operator will maintain smooth and efficient operations of all OHCC mobile facilities/vehicles. The Operator plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates activities necessary to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Open Health Care Clinic mobile vehicles in accordance with organization policies, procedures, and standards, as well as with any/all laws, codes and regulations as dictated by Parish, State, and Federal Authorities having jurisdiction.

- Mobile Unit Maintenance
- Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment
- Acts as liaison between organization and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems
- Drafts and implements preventive maintenance schedules for vehicles and mobile units
- Ensures safety standards are followed throughout each unit
- Reviews and follows emergency preparedness plan.
- Applies or assists with applications required for any unit or equipment
- Provide regular reports on mobile equipment and vehicles pertaining to maintenance needs and schedules.
- Communication with supervisor regarding any questions or issues that arise with unit or scheduled events.
- Completing minor repair work, including repairing doors, locks, door frames and handles and replacing light bulbs.
- Performing basic plumbing tasks, which includes unclogging drains as well as fixing leaking faucets and toilets
- Troubleshoot and identify faults or problems in equipment and keep them in working order.
- Mobile Unit Operation
- Responsible for set up and take down of events both on and off site
- Making sure supplies and equipment are set up for the team to perform any and all required duties
- Making note of supplies that are needed as well as ensuring enough supplies are available for the days tasks as related to the operation of the unit
- Cleaning/maintenance of mobile unit after each use
- Communication with staff and supervisor if any question of need by the team arises
- Driving company vehicles and mobile units
- Must stay with the mobile unit at all times to ensure proper and continuous operation
Required Education:
- High School Diploma
Skills, Licensure, and Knowledge Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles.
- CDL class B
