Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records.
- Support nursing staff with medical procedures and treatments as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient care areas to promote a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to address needs and concerns.
- Participate in the care of patients in specialized areas such as geriatrics, medical-surgical units, and clinics.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Patient Care Technician program is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous, particularly in emergency medicine or trauma care.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and understanding of patient care practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
