Duties
As a Home Health Aide, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring compliance with medication schedules.
- Providing catheter care and assistance with other personal hygiene needs.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs to report any changes in the client's health status.
- Preparing nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Supporting clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and client progress.
- Assisting clients with activities that promote social interaction and engagement.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in long-term care or home care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices.
- Familiarity with catheter care techniques and vital sign monitoring.
- Experience in senior care or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong caregiving abilities, demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect for client dignity.
