We are currently reviewing applications and resumes for the position of Morning & Evening Adult ESL Substitute Teacher at our Open Hearts Language Academy Tampa Campus.
Hours:
MORNING: 8:45 am - 12-25 pm/ 12-35 - 1:35 pm
EVENING: 5:45pm –6:45pm/ 6:50pm-10:30pm
Pay is determined based on your qualifications listed on your resume ($23-$25/hour).
The student population are adults at Open Hearts Language Academy which is a reputable English School. The successful candidate will enjoy working as a part of a dedicated team, with the added satisfaction of working for an organization committed to the satisfaction if its student population.
Responsibilities and Duties
Teachers will teach ESL to adults, prepare their classes and complete any paperwork pertaining to the job.
Qualifications and Skills
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING: Candidates must hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in ESL/TESOL or a Bachelor's degree in a related field along with current ESL/TESOL or TEFL certification.
Bachelor's degree in a related field include;
1. Linguistics
2. Applied Linguistics
3. Modern Languages
4. English / Literature
5. Education
All applicants should have native or native-like communication. Candidates who do not have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in ESL/TESOL are also require to have a minimum of one (1) year of teaching ESL to an adult population.
Experience teaching
For Candidates who do not have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in ESL/TESOL, a minimum of 1 year experience teaching ESL to an adult population is required.
Acceptable certification tools
Hired candidates who have yet to obtain their TESOL/ TEFL/ESL certification will be required to receive their ESL/TESOL or TEFL certification from an accredited institution or program offering a minimum of 120 hours of course work.
