What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Open Minds?

Some of the exciting things you will do as a Toddler Teacher include, but are not limited to:
- Make a difference everyday!
- Work collaboratively with all teachers to ensure consistency throughout the program
- Work collaboratively and contribute to daily lesson plans that challenge students at all levels
- Communicate daily with parents through verbal face to face, email, daily sheets, etc.
- Work with and perform duties assigned by your lead teacher
- Represent Open Minds in a professional manner
- Build positive relationships in our surrounding communities
- Be a positive role model for your students
- Effectively manage your classroom/age group
- Attend monthly curriculum training (High Scope)
Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Possess an Associates Degree or Bachelors degree. We may accept a degree in a related field with at least 12 hours in child development or early childhood education.
- At least one year of experience working in a licensed child care facility.
- Proficiency with classroom technology (IPads, laptops, etc.)
- Ability to sit, stoop, bend to low level positions that best allow interactions with the students
- Current CPR and First Aid training
- Pass pre-employment screening and fingerprint background check
Preferred Qualifications
- The ability to lift 40 lbs is strongly desired, and may be required in some classrooms
