JOB TITLE: FOOD SAFETY MONITOR

JOB SUMMARY:

Observe and document the implementation of food safety and animal welfare requirements. Coordinate with Food Safety Coordinator and department supervisors to ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented. |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Review and maintain knowledge of all programs and procedures written into the HACCP Plan.
- Perform and document inspections during operations.
- Monitor and document implementation of food safety and animal welfare requirements according to plan frequencies.
- Assist in collection of samples as needed to implement harvest monitoring system.
- Assist in collection N60 samples as needed to implement trim index.
- Develop and implement corrective actions based on documented deficiencies or deviations.
- Participate in reassessments according to plan requirements.
- Assist in reviewing and answering Non-Compliances and MOls.
- Present reports findings and corrective actions to all departments for meeting agenda.
- Provide on-the-floor support and assistance to department Supervisors.
- Implement related Customer, Food Safety, Animal Welfare programs as assigned.
- Assist with other assigned food safety tasks.
- Ability to follow through with collaborative direction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong familiarity with federal USDA food safety regulations.
- Experience with implementing Program actions in adherence to, and consistent with, federal regulations.
- Ability to analyze and interpret federal food safety regulations.
- Ability to incorporate HACCP plan program requirements.
- Strong team collaboration and decision making skills.
