Position Summary
Open Range is in search of an experienced Foreman – Carpentry to join our talented team. In this role, you will oversee carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring that work is completed to specification, on time, and within budget. Your leadership will guide skilled carpenters as you collaborate closely with project managers and clients to deliver high-quality craftsmanship across a variety of residential and commercial carpentry projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise carpentry crews on-site, providing direction, mentoring, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure work is completed accurately and in accordance with building codes.
- Coordinate daily activities, including delegating tasks, managing schedules, and ensuring efficient use of materials and resources.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control throughout all phases of the project.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project managers to address any concerns and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Assist in the training and development of crew members, sharing expertise and techniques to enhance their skills.
- Manage inventory and procurement of materials, ensuring timely availability for ongoing projects.
- Address on-site challenges in a timely and effective manner, maintaining a positive work environment.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry preferred.
- 5 years of carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
Technical Skills
- Thorough knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical documents.
- Skilled in the use of various carpentry tools and machinery.
