Key Responsibilities
Assist in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Help experienced mechanics with oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs
- Learn to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical problems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and parts are stored properly
- Follow all safety protocols when operating machinery, tools, and vehicles
- Conduct basic inspections under guidance, including checking fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other components
- Perform routine checks and minor repairs under supervision
- Attend training sessions, workshops, or classes related to automotive technology
- Stay current on new techniques, tools, and industry trends to improve skills and efficiency
- Assist mechanic in explaining repairs or services to customers when necessary
- Uphold the company's values by offering friendly, professional communication
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Enrollment in or completion of an automotive technology program is a plus
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Willingness to learn to use diagnostic and repair tools
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Positive attitude and willingness to take direction
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor in varying conditions
- Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and chemicals associated with automotive work
- CDL preferred. Driver's license required
- DOT certified preferred
