Mechanic Apprentice

Position Overview

We seek a motivated and eager-to-learn individual to join our team as a Mechanic's Apprentice. In this role, you will work under the supervision of an experienced mechanic to gain hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair. You will assist in diagnosing issues, performing routine services, and ensuring customer satisfaction with high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities


Assist in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

• Help experienced mechanics with oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs
• Learn to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical problems
  
  
  

Safety & Shop Maintenance

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and parts are stored properly
• Follow all safety protocols when operating machinery, tools, and vehicles
  
  
  

Technical Support

• Conduct basic inspections under guidance, including checking fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other components
• Perform routine checks and minor repairs under supervision
  
  
  

Learning & Development

• Attend training sessions, workshops, or classes related to automotive technology
• Stay current on new techniques, tools, and industry trends to improve skills and efficiency
  
  
  

Customer Interaction

• Assist mechanic in explaining repairs or services to customers when necessary
• Uphold the company's values by offering friendly, professional communication
  
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Enrollment in or completion of an automotive technology program is a plus
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components
• Willingness to learn to use diagnostic and repair tools
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Positive attitude and willingness to take direction
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor in varying conditions
• Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and chemicals associated with automotive work
• CDL preferred. Driver's license required
