Summary:
Responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Examining customer vehicles
- Identifying necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Estimating cost of repairs
- Performing vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Documenting services performed
- Performing services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines
- Following dealership and manufacturer service guidelines
- Requesting necessary parts
- Maintaining CSI (Customer Service Index) at or above Company standards
- Maintaining an organized, clean and safe work area
- Participating in required training
- Recording all hours worked accurately in Company timekeeping system
- Following all Safeguards rules and regulations
- Demonstrating the Company’s Core Values
- Compling with Company policies and procedures
- Observing all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
- Other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge
- Technical training or commensurate technical experience required
- Certificates and Licenses
- Valid Insurable Driver’s License
- Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system. Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system
- Ability to understand and following instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
- Ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees
