The Clinical Supervisor provides program management, program quality assurance, ongoing staff recruitment, training, and development of the treatment services they oversee. They operate at a high level of discretion and independent decision making. Clinical Supervisors provide individualized clinical supervision to direct-service staff that strengthens and develops their capacity to effectively respond to a range of diagnostic and presenting problems. Clinical Supervisors build supervisee sensitivity toward individuals of diverse cultural, socioeconomic and life-style backgrounds; and support an organizational culture of tolerance, respect, recovery, and resiliency.
