Job Description
Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Test Farm Technician. This role combines hands-on technical work with customer support responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of computer hardware and low voltage cabling.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform wiring tasks including stripping, connecting, and securing wires for various automotive systems.
- Set up and configure bench power supplies for testing and validation of installed systems.
- Technical Support:
- Provide support to local and remote users with issues related to Test Farm nodes, including restarting nodes, reconfiguring hardware, and troubleshooting software.
- Utilize a work ticket system (RTC) to manage tasks, track progress, and close work items upon resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both onsite and offshore, to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Daily Tasks:
- Open and review work items in the ticketing system.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries in MS Teams chat areas.
- Assist in maintaining and reconfiguring hardware and software as needed to resolve access or usage issues.
- Familiarity with off-the-shelf computer hardware (USB gadgets, Windows OS, etc.).
- Experience with low voltage cabling, including stripping and connecting wires.
- Comfortable setting up and working with bench power supplies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with various teams.
- Optional: Experience with work ticket systems (e.g., RTC). Training will be provided.
- Experience in car radio installation or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
