A financial firm is looking for a Director of IT Infrastructure with strong AWS experience to join their team in New York, NY.
Compensation: $180–200k
Will consider candidates located in the Orlando, FL area as well
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- Architect, implement, and manage robust AWS-based solutions, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other core AWS services
- Optimize AWS resources for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability
- Ensure proper governance and compliance for AWS environments
- Oversee day-to-day operations of on-premise and cloud infrastructure, ensuring uptime and performance
- Manage network, storage, and server environments, ensuring they are secure and optimized
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks for proactive issue resolution
- Evaluate, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships, including AWS and other technology partners
- Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the financial services industry
- Expertise in AWS cloud services, architecture, and management; AWS certifications are a strong plus
- Background in network architecture, server administration, and IT operations
- Experience with disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and incident response in a financial context
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage large-scale IT projects within budget and timelines
- Experience with AWS tools and services, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and cloud-native security tools
- Familiar with hybrid cloud environments and containerization technologies
- Ability to lead high-performing teams and manage large-scale projects
