A financial firm is looking for a Fixed Income/Asset Management Business Analyst to join their team in Newark, NJ.
Hybrid; 3 days/week onsite
Pay: $100/hr
MUST be US Citizen/GC Holder
No C2C
Must have:
- 5 years as a BA (front office)
- 3 years of Fixed Income experience
- 3 years of Asset Management experience
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development team
- Support the implementation of fixed income front office systems and tools, ensuring alignment with business needs
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business expectations
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications, use cases, and process flows
- Work with project manager and cross-functional teams to manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within scope
Qualifications:
Required
- A degree in computer science, math, finance, economics, or related field. CFA, FRM, or related certifications a plus
- 3-10 years of experience in a business analyst role within the financial services industry, with a focus on fixed income asset management
- Strong understanding of fixed income products, including bonds, derivatives, and other related instruments
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical
- specifications
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools
Preferred
- Experience with portfolio management systems (e.g., Aladdin or similar platforms)
- Familiarity with data management tools and reporting systems in an asset management context
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting fixed income asset management
