Job Duties:
- Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT and security strategy that aligns with the business goals.
- Oversee the implementation of security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure the protection of the organization's data and IT assets.
- Mentor and develop staff, ensuring skill development in emerging technologies and security practices.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure that all systems and practices are in line with legal, regulatory, and company policy requirements.
- Lead company's annual SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit process.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage risk mitigation strategies to protect the organization from cyber threats.
- Security Operations
- Lead incident response, including investigation, documentation, and resolution of security breaches or vulnerabilities.
- Manage and monitor security systems, including intrusion detection, firewalls, and network security.
- IT Management
- Direct all IT operations including hardware, software, network, and database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Plan and manage IT projects, from conception through to implementation, ensuring they meet business needs and deadlines.
- Vendor and Budget Management
- Oversee relationships with vendors and service providers related to IT and security solutions.
- Manage the IT and security budget, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
- Innovation and Technology Advancement
- Stay abreast of latest technology developments in IT security, cloud computing, and IT infrastructure.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies that enhance security and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management with at least 5 years in a senior security role.
- Proven expertise in cybersecurity, including certifications like CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of business practices, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex IT and security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be able to lift and carry 10 pounds.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; minimum of community college courses preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 10 years of experience as an IT support specialist.
- CompTIA A and CompTIA Network certifications preferred.
- Expected working knowledge of Windows and MacOS (internet browser, remote desktop access, etc.).
- Expected working knowledge of Mobile Devices and Mobile Operating Systems.
- Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS 365 applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel) and administration.
- Experience managing SaaS solutions (e.g. Monday.com, Atlassian, etc.).
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Must be willing to learn new tasks and procedures.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities without posing a direct safety threat to self or others.
- Maintain a regular and dependable work attendance record with few instances of unplanned and/or unexpected absence.
- Must be able to lift and carry 10 pounds.
