OPENLANE is searching for an Independent Contractor for vehicle inspections. 1099 Independent Contractor is an “independent contractor” who is responsible for providing a high quality and detailed report on the condition of multiple cars within the day. The report details interior and exterior damages, frame and structural damages, and basic vehicle information such as mileage, series, and other options.
Required Skills
- Attention to detail – quality and accuracy of condition reporting is a must!
- Ability to multitask and work independently is required
- Good verbal and written communication
- High level of motivation
- Basic Android phone operation.
- Ability to work outdoors in all conditions
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and/or twist repeatedly throughout the day
- Ability to follow all applicable state and federal requirements
Required:
A working Android phone with a data plan, a basic OBD II scanner, tread depth gauge, reliable transportation, and valid driver's license. Minimum one year experience writing condition reports or auto adjustments. Knowledge of automotive components and bodywork process.
