Role and Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax, GST and other direct or indirect taxes.
- Evaluating the tax implications of Groups activities and developing strategies to minimize tax obligations
- Advising on future tax changes
- Managing and directing relationships with key service providers
- Assisting with any tax compliance audits
- Collaborating with finance and accounting teams to ensure our tax strategies and policies are implemented
- Identifying, tracking and reporting any potential financial risks or issues and working closely with the accounting teams to implement appropriate solutions.
- Leading tax due diligence of any prospective acquisition targets
- Assisting in corporate organization matters as needed on an ad hoc basis
- Assisting in current and deferred tax provisioning for financial reporting
- Keeping up to date with ever-changing tax laws and ensuring Group compliance
- Developing and implementing best practices for tax processes and procedures
- Preparing and presenting to the Executive leadership and senior management and board
