About the role:
As an Accounts Payable Representative at OpenRoad Global, you will be responsible for accurately paying weekly invoices and monthly expenses. You will also provide top-notch customer service to internal and external customers. This position requires attention to detail, great customer service, and a drive for success.
Responsibilities:
- Respond in a timely manner to all payment status inquires
- Answer phone calls regarding payment status
- Organize, enter, and pay monthly utility bills for all offices
- Ensure proper payment to carriers on a daily and weekly basis
- Display top-notch customer service skills as you answer inbound inquiries from our carriers and manage dispute resolution
- Proactively research invoice details and reach out to carriers for clarification as needed
- Resolve documentation issues thoroughly, involving management when appropriate
- Follow-up is key! Track outstanding issues and stay on top of them
- Frequently correspond with internal and external persons via telephone, email, and face-to-face
- Attend and participates in departmental meetings
- Perform various departmental duties as needed
- Represent OpenRoad through professional communication with carriers via phone and email
- Responsible for Credit Card account
Qualifications:
- One year of experience in a customer service-oriented role, preferred
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Able to problem-solve independently or collaboratively, depending on the situation
- Basic typing and computer skills
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Suite programs
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Treats all persons (internal and external) with respect and kindness
- Experience in using an adding machine, multi-line telephone, and standard office tools
