About the role:
As the Underwriter at OpenRoad Financial Services (ORFS), you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to ensure the efficient and accurate processing, underwriting, closing, and onboarding of ORFS clients. You will be working closely with our Business Development team to maximize client acquisition. This position requires a highly detail-oriented personality, excellent customer service skills, discernment skills, research skills, and accuracy. The Underwriter plays a critical role in maintaining ORFS’ risk threshold and optimizing ORFS’ business results.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure prospective clients are underwritten in compliance with ORFS company policy and applicable laws and regulations
- Obtain necessary reporting and documentation to perform a thorough analysis of prospective clients
- Identify high-risk and out-of-compliance scenarios and effectively communicate areas of concern to the Business Development team
- Create and evaluate client documents for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain accurate records and status tracking
- Provide courteous and professional communication, both internally and externally
- Maintain neatness and thoroughness in performance of assigned duties
- Attend department and staff meetings as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience with computers and Microsoft Office suite
- High productivity

- Ability to develop and apply knowledge of contractual and business law, as it pertains to the ORFS’ business services

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
