Our mission is simple: to support our community by partnering with local libraries, non-profits, educational institutions, and thrift stores to raise money for their organizations through online book sales. As we grow our business, we are also looking to grow our team. Currently we are hiring for the following positions: Book Warehouse Associates.

Responsibilities:
- Inspecting, cleaning, and grading merchandise according to condition guidelines.
- Data entry using word processing, spreadsheets, and database for shipments.
- Verification of all data entered to ensure accuracy.
- Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, including preparation of sequentially numbered paperwork in system, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation services.
- Required to make pickups and deliveries for outbound shipments.
- Process customer orders with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs. Ensure that all accompanying documentation is present with packed items.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

- Perform both preventative and general maintenance on equipment and tools used.
- Ensure that all work areas are clean, always maintained and most importantly safe.
Physical Demands
To successfully perform the essential functions of this job you will be required to do the following:
- Walk, stoop and reach
- Picking/pinching with fingers using repetitive motions.
- Hear at normal speaking levels
- Stand, push, lift and feel with outer extremities and hands.
- Frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- On rare occasions the position requires climbing and pulling.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area travel for merchandise pick-up is expected.

Job type:
Full time, Hours: 8am-4:30pm, Monday – Friday.
Pay Rate: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
