Operation Breakthrough is a non-profit organization that helps children who are living in poverty develop to their fullest potential by providing them a safe, loving and educational environment. Operation Breakthrough strives to support and empower the children’s families through advocacy, referral services and emergency aid.
JOB SUMMARY:
The school Bus Driver will be responsible for driving 15-72 passenger buses to and from Operation Breakthrough and designated locations. This is a full-time position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A safe driver with a good driving record, Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Passenger Endorsement (P), School Bus Endorsement (S)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Drive a 15-72 passenger bus in a safe and courteous manner
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant driving experience
- Transport students to and from area schools
- Transport children on field trips and other special events, as needed
- Make sure that all passengers are delivered safely from the bus to their destination
- Report mileage and activities to supervisor on a log provided with the vehicle
- Clean, fuel and perform minor routine maintenance on the vehicles upon each use as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds as needed
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals within and out of the agency and to project a positive public image for oneself and Operation Breakthrough
- Other duties as assigned
