Join our dynamic Ignition Lab Team in providing workforce development and entrepreneurship in STEM through Graphic Design.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with the development and implementation of a project-based curriculum designed to engage youth in Graphic Design including color theory, design principles, adobe creative suite, DIY website design.
- Help create engaging projects for students that expose them to the unique aspects of Graphic Design that include the creative process from briefs to final design.
- Create connections with local companies and non-profits to collaborate on client connected projects.
- Help students acquire industry related skills and market value assets.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills
Creativity – to develop engaging lessons and activities for students that educate on the theory and practice of graphic design and have an awareness of current design trends in real world situations.
Communication – that educates students during lessons in a way that they understand and conveys expectations of projects and class activities
Organization – to be able to keep track of individual student progress and working with the other facilitators on collaborative projects
Technology – advanced knowledge of Apple Mac and Adobe products including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
