Operation Breakthrough is a not for profit organization that helps children who are living in poverty develop to their fullest potential by providing them a safe, loving and educational environment. Operation Breakthrough strives to support and empower the children’s families through advocacy, referral services and emergency aid.
JOB SUMMARY
This position will work closely with both the IT Specialist and the Controller to provide IT support to the organization as well as engage with interns and families in operating an IT store. This position will require some early evenings and weekend hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
IT experience, including hardware readiness, and basic issues resolution
Basic software expertise including Microsoft Office and Google Mail, Docs, and Sheets, and agency focused software
Strong project management and interpersonal skills for coordinating parent / staff trainings and student intern engagement
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist current IT Specialist with IT issues for approximately 200 employees.
Assist with setup when new technology / equipment is acquired.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
Assure that all new-hire employees are provided the necessary computer equipment to efficiently complete their job tasks.
Work with high school interns while repurposing computers for families.
Work closely with the Controller and Ignition Lab facilitator to open and oversee an IT store staffed by Operation Breakthrough high school interns.
Other Duties as may be assigned
Ensure proper functioning of communication tools (e.g., email, instant messaging, video conferencing, Intranet)
