Position Overview: The Development and Marketing Officer will play a key role in driving the growth and sustainability of OFP by spearheading fundraising initiatives, managing donor relationships, and executing strategic marketing and communications efforts. This individual will bring creative ideas to promote awareness, develop donor relations, and raise funds to support our programs and services. Key responsibilities include:
Fundraising & Development:
1. Developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals.
2. Identifying grant opportunities, writing compelling proposals, and managing the submission and reporting processes for public and private funding sources.
3. Planning and coordinating fundraising events to engage supporters and raise funds for our mission.
4. Maintaining an accurate donor database, tracking all contributions and donor interactions.
Marketing & Communications:
1. Developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications plan that promotes our services, raises awareness of our mission, and drives donor support.
2. Creating engaging content across all platforms, including social media, email newsletters, blog posts, website updates, and press releases.
3. Collaborating with local and national media outlets to share the positive impact of our service dogs on veterans' lives.
4. Utilizing social media platforms, Google Ads, SEO strategies, and other digital tools to expand our online presence and engagement with supporters.
