About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Development and Marketing Officer to join our team at Operation Freedom Paws (OFP). As a key member of our staff, this individual will play a critical role in driving the growth and sustainability of our organization through fundraising initiatives, donor relationship management, and strategic marketing and communications efforts. The successful candidate will bring creative ideas to promote awareness, develop donor relations, and raise funds to support our programs and services.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include:
Fundraising & Development:
• Developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals, including major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, and individual donations.
• Identifying grant opportunities, writing compelling proposals, and managing the submission and reporting processes for public and private funding sources.
• Planning and coordinating fundraising events to engage supporters and raise funds for our mission.
• Maintaining an accurate donor database, tracking all contributions and donor interactions.
Marketing & Communications:
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications plan that promotes our services, raises awareness of our mission, and drives donor support.
• Creating engaging content across all platforms, including social media, email newsletters, blog posts, website updates, and press releases.
• Collaborating with local and national media outlets to share the positive impact of our service dogs on veterans' lives.
• Utilizing social media platforms, Google Ads, SEO strategies, and other digital tools to expand our online presence and engagement with supporters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or related field.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, marketing, or communications, with a proven track record of success in both areas.
