We are looking for a CRM PRODUCT OWNER to join our Product Innovation team. As the PRODUCT OWNER, you will oversee the development of the CRM digital product from start to finish to ensure it meets stakeholders' needs and preferences. The main duties include translating the overall vision of the CRM for our organization, serving as a liaison between stakeholders and the developers, managing various backlog items and prioritizing and launching product features based on stakeholders' preferences and organization priorities.

This position is specifically for a PRODUCT OWNER with a heart for social justice through an economic lens. We're looking for a driven, creative product leader who thrives on taking on new challenges, loves developing digital products, understands the power of data, harnesses research to develop user-centric solutions, and ultimately is passionate about creating technology in service of people. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Partner with key internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and success metrics for digital products
  • Communicate program and product vision and priorities within the organization
  • Manage multiple digital product development projects to advance the strategic goals of the organization
  • Translate a conceptual vision for the team's product into a set of actionable features
  • Collaborate with various subject matter experts, including developers, engineers, and end users
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and ideation through development and ongoing refinement / maintenance
  • Identify and act on opportunities to continuously improve the user experience within managed products
  • Serve as the product subject matter expert for the technical functionality of various platforms

What does this look like in action?

  • Creating and / or refining a product road map based on this vision (which may include developing user stories)
  • Managing the product backlog and prioritizing stories based on changing requirements
  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
  • Liaising with the product team, stakeholders and end-users to deliver updates
  • Facilitating stand-up meetings and product sprints
  • Taking ownership of properly documenting business requirements that can be turned into technical requirements
  • Coordinating activities between internal and external vendor partners, defining what collaboration will be necessary to work through development and implementation of the road map, and managing integration work
  • Learning / understanding the data architecture and flow of data
  • Creating and maintaining program and product artifacts including project plans, project schedules, roadmaps, product backlog, epics, user stories, use cases and other product documentation
  • Participating in test script reviews, user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality
  • Troubleshooting data issues and functionality by evaluating back-end data through use of query tools
  • Providing knowledge support to third-party partners to resolve development issues, facilitate development needs, and support the product in DEV, UAT, TRAINING, and PROD environments
  • SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High aspirations for all people to be successful and empowered financially
  • MUST HAVE : 3 years as a Product Owner or Business Analyst working with application development in an agile environment (Special attention to those with experience in Microsoft Power Platforms and Dynamics 365 development / customization in the Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit tech stack)
  • Prefer four-year bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related field
  • Prior product management experience within industry standard CRM systems (Dynamics365, Salesforce, HubSpot, Monday, etc)
  • Experience facilitating the development of digital products for a nonprofit environment "from scratch" and managing the entire product lifecycle
  • Adept at coordinating work involving many roles and skill sets (i.e. development, design, UX, research, etc.)
  • Curious, creative, and inquisitive to go deeper beyond the obvious
  • Self-starter, able to drive work forward within an agile environment with minimal direction
  • Dedicated team player with a passion for building intuitive, user-centered products
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate challenges simply and convincingly to help drive fast decisions, be it with an engineering team or non-technical business leaders
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and software applications
  • Strong bias for action with a demonstrated track record of successful product delivery
  • Relentless focus on product enhancements that will drive real, measurable impact
