Production Lead Bilingual EnglishSpanish

Key Responsibilities :

Communicate personnel-related matters to the Production Supervisor / Manager.

Ensure all daily paperwork is completed and reported correctly.

Discuss issues, changes, and events with the existing supervisor / lead.

Review production schedules with the Production Supervisor / Plant Manager to set the workforce.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the shift.

Ensure equipment and supplies are ready before the start of each shift.

Train employees to identify and follow quality systems.

Monitor production lines to ensure speed and quality standards are met.

Schedule and assign tasks to employees based on their skills.

Ensure safety, GMP, and food safety practices are followed.

Directly supervise employees in the production area.

Assist with training of new production employees.

Print labels according to production schedule and track daily yield / attainment numbers.

Comply with all product quality standards and company policies.

Contribute to and encourage teamwork within the organization.

Additional duties as assigned.

Physical Demands :

Frequent walking along production lines.

Work Environment :

Moderate to high noise levels.

Working with food processing equipment, such as tumblers, mixing machines, ovens, and conveyor belts.

Qualifications / Abilities :

Minimum of 1 year of experience in food manufacturing.

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or 1-2 years of related experience / training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Flexibility to work various hours and shifts, including rotating shifts.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a large hourly workforce.

Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
