Job Description:
Quality Control environment is preferred.
Experience working in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
Able to utilize standard processes, procedures, and equipment.
Prior experience with HACCP a plus
Able to perform essential math functions, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Experience / Education
General high school degree/GED or equivalent preferred
Prior work in a related field would be an advantage.
Certificate in Food Handling
- The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for in-plant process testing and compliance to standards using client's quality and food safety policy.
- Perform tests of the production operations and equipment to ensure our products conform to specifications
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions
- Monitor the quality of the product manufactured and inspect process controls points
- Reject or retain substandard products that fall outside of defined tolerances
- Responsible for timely completion and accuracy of paperwork
- May use computer software and electronic equipment to enter data
- Establish, maintain and promote good communications with all departments
- Performs other tasks and duties as needed
