Operations Specialist
Description:
We have an immediate opening for an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Specialist to support operations in the Southeast region, with occasional travel in other regions of the eastern coast of the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Area Managers and Project Managers to support project demands.
- Provide technical support and training onsite to implement the Asset Management Program.
- Utilize W&C technical platforms for data collection: Utility Cloud, Hach WIMS, Do Forms, Power BI, etc.
- Provide operations and maintenance support at water and/or wastewater treatment facilities.
Requirements:
- Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments including inclement weather.
- Solid water and wastewater background which may include certifications and licenses.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience with utility technology software including Hach's Water Information Management System (Hach WIMS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of the water and wastewater industry to include equipment, controls, and process.
- May be required to wear a respirator.
- Willfulness to travel to support assigned projects and assist with emergency event repair and recovery efforts.
Must-Haves:
- Utility Pants: Employees must wear durable utility pants suitable for the work environment.
- Safety Shoes: Steel-toed or other appropriate safety shoes are mandatory to protect against workplace hazards.
- Candidates must consent to and pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
