POSITION: Traveling Wastewater Treatment/O&M Specialist
PAY RATE: $30 - $43/hr
LOCATION: Central Florida Region
We have an immediate opening for an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Specialist to help support operations in the Central Florida region, with occasional travel in other regions of the eastern coast of the United States. In this role, you will support operations through project transitions, providing technical support, backfilling management positions, provide assistance for process control or trouble shooting activities, working with various software technologies, and potentially perform day to day operations. This position will be supporting operations primarily in Florida, with occasional travel on the East Coast of the United States. You will be required to travel a minimum of 75% of the year with much of this travel being regionally focused in Florida
Duties:
- Work with Area Managers and Project Managers to support project demands.
- Provide technical support and training onsite to implement the Asset Management Program.
- Utilize technical platforms for data collection: Utility Cloud Hach WIMS, Do Forms, Power BI, etc.
- Provide operations and maintenance support at water and/or wastewater treatment facilities.
Requirements:
- Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments including inclement weather.
- Solid water and wastewater background which may include certifications and licenses.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience with utility technology software including Hach’s Water Information Management System (Hach WIMS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of the water and wastewater industry to include equipment, controls, and process.
- Willingness to travel to support assigned projects and assist with emergency event repair and recovery efforts.
MUST HAVES FOR ROLE:
- Utility Pants: Employees must wear durable utility pants suitable for the work environment.
- Safety Shoes: Steel-toed or other appropriate safety shoes are mandatory to protect against workplace hazards.
- Candidates must consent to and pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
