What are the responsibilities and job description for the Game Day Staff (Part-Time) position at Operations?
Note: This is a part-time role, with an hourly wage of $15.50 per hour. Hours per week can fluctuate depending on game day schedule and company need. We would like you to be available for 85% (15/18) of our home games:
May: Sun 5/4, Sat 5/17, Sat 5/31
June: Sun 6/15
July: Wed 7/2, Sun 7/6, Wed 7/16, Fri 7/25
Aug: Wed 8/6, Sat 8/9, Sun 8/17, Sat 8/30
Sept: Sat 9/13, Sun 9/21, Sun 9/27
Oct: Sat 10/4, Sat 10/18, Sat 10/25
As Game Day Staff you will help to ensure that game day runs smoothly, providing an exceptional experience for fans, athletes, and staff by coordinating activities across the stadium and troubleshooting any issues that arise during events. Our matches begin in May and conclude in November. As Game Day Staff you will be required to perform on game days and have availability the day prior and post.
This position will offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help launch Maine’s first-ever professional soccer club and to provide memorable experiences for fans of all ages in our inaugural season.

Responsibilities:
Initiatives can include, but are not limited to:
- Setup, striking, and cleaning up of equipment, signage, concessions, merchandise, etc.
- Administering logistical support to players, volunteers, and fans and ushering them where they need to be, engaging with fans to provide exceptional customer service, elevating the guest experience by developing and maintaining an extensive knowledge base about the gate entry, ticket scanning, concession stands, seating locations, activations, amenities, etc.
- Be a part of in-game production and promotional activities relating to announcements, mascot sitings, half-time entertainment, etc.
Qualifications (Skills/Capabilities):

- Have the ability to carry up to 30 pounds for an extended distance
- Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
Work Environment:
The Hearts of Pine is a professional, fast paced, creative business environment. Other environmental conditions:
● Work will be conducted in Portland, Maine at Fitzpatrick Stadium
● Ability to work an event-driven schedule, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays
● Comfortable with face-face, in-person experiences
● Ability to travel around the stadium visiting fans
● Sitting, standing, working with hands for extended periods of time
● Rarely is lifting more than 20 pounds required
