Job Description
OPEX Corporation is hiring for a second shift (2p-10 : 15p) for a Manual Machinist to work in our 180,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Pennsauken, NJ. We are looking for dependable, organized, mechanically skilled individuals with extensive experience for this opening. If you are a punctual, communicative, diligent, and detail-oriented individual that works well with a team then OPEX may be the right place for you to pursue your career.
Essential Responsibilities
- Set up and operate miscellaneous manual machine shop equipment including mills, lathes, drill presses, tapping heads, arbor press, and surface and OD grinders.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Perform daily maintenance of machines as required and keep supervisor informed of necessary maintenance beyond operator ability.
- Must read and understand layouts, job packets and blueprints for parts being run.
- Inspect parts using micrometer, gages, and related inspection instruments.
- Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required (i.e. deburring)
- Work as a team member to aid all shifts and support personnel to operate to departmental standards including quality, productivity, organizational, and safety goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
