What are the responsibilities and job description for the SR HR GENERALIST (CONTRACT) position at OPmobility?
The SR Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for managing employee relations, overseeing recruitment and onboarding processes, conducting training sessions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and maintaining HR records using HRIS systems. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required for resolving employee issues, conducting interviews, and administering benefits. The ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and maintain confidentiality is essential for success in this role. (MINIMUM 6 MONTH CONTRACT)
Essential Functions :
- Handles sensitive, private and confidential information with utmost discretion.
- Counsels and supports employees on a wide range of HR related topics.
- Conducts and facilitates SR human resource generalist activities in compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Provides direction to employees in the resolution of problems, related to benefits, company policies, etc.
- Source, screen and recommend candidates for employment and conduct new employee onboarding and orientation.
- Manages FMLA, LOA, STD, LTD, Workers Compensation programs.
- Assists in yearly employee performance reviews and employment related policies and procedures.
- Ensure all training documentation is logged properly (requests, certifications of completions and evaluations are filed, including education reimbursements).
- Maintain organizational charts – update HQ with changes.
- Work with NAFTA HR team to obtain data and consolidate NAFTA HR reports (i.e. monthly KPI, headcount, safety, etc).
- Maintain confidential HR files including but not limited to target agreements, employee dialogues, job descriptions, training plans, training evidence, training feedbacks, medical files, compensation history, etc.
- Support company transfers, including obtaining proper visa and work authorizations.
- Assist employees with issues related to VOE’s, wage verification, benefit questions or payroll questions.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
- Support 401K reporting and compliance.
- Manage annual open-enrollment process.
- Reconcile benefit invoices follow-up on dependent eligibility.
- Suggest and assist in implementing updates / changes to corporate policies.
- Manage local Spirit Committee - organize employee engagement events, service awards, community involvement, wellness initiatives, etc.
- Supporting the launch of ISO 450001 and ISP 50001.
- Understand and comply with company EHS policy.
- Ensure 5s & Respect HBPO’s Austins facility.
- Other duties as assigned, by Manager or Functional Manager
