We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optical Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Operate and maintain optical lathes and other laboratory equipment to fabricate lenses and optical components.
- Perform various laboratory procedures, including grinding, polishing, and coating lenses according to specifications.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to equipment or production processes.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including inventory management and equipment maintenance logs.
- Stay updated on advancements in ophthalmology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge to enhance technical skills.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an optical laboratory setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and procedures related to optical fabrication.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes in a laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to ophthalmology is advantageous.
