We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the data center infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Responsibilities
- Previous experience Operating and maintaining critical and non-critical data center infrastructure.
- Ensure 100% uptime and manage risks with the CFT team.
- Experience in negotiating third-party facilities operations contracts
- Strong experience in managing third-party operators.
- Assist in the review and approval of the annual budgets and financial reporting. Data Center Domain Management: Actively engage in all aspects of the data center lifecycle, including design, build, secure, operate, improve, and maintain processes, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
- Incident Management: Lead root-cause analysis and postmortem reviews to identify underlying issues and drive long-term operational improvements, reducing the likelihood of recurrence.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate expansions, and modifications with internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless integration and adherence to project timelines and specifications.
- Monitor power, cooling, and environmental conditions in data halls.
- Use CMMS to track and manage maintenance tasks.
- Manage quarterly, bi-annual and yearly maintenance requirements.
- Manage local utility relationships and engage in available incentive programs.
- Assist with upcoming projects and provide feedback from operations viewpoint.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Resolve technical issues and respond to emergencies quickly.
- Assist with development and review of procedures and maintenance inspections.
- Escort and oversee contractors, ensuring compliance with facility rules.
- Assist/manage building commissioning and IST.
- Customer Focus: Unwavering commitment to customer success, ensuring that all operational activities align with client needs and expectations.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex projects, from conception through completion.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and lead installers to meet project deadlines and customer specifications.
- Continuously improve processes by driving improvements in existing processes and procedures in collaboration with teams, support partners, and vendors.
Requirements
- Technical expertise of 10 years in operating technical production environments.
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of data centers and their critical systems.
- 6-10 years of experience in Mission Critical environments.
- Strong Mechanical Background ME background and certification
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex projects, from conception through completion.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and lead installers to meet project deadlines and customer specifications.
- Ability to lift to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to travel. 50% anticipated.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $170,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
