Position Description:
This is an individual contributor role with daily tasks related to working with the Escheat Specialist on various technical and administrative aspects of unclaimed property analysis, reporting, payments, and communications with upstream and first purchaser oil and gas clients. This position reports to the Escheat Specialist. They will serve as a key member of the Land Administration team in our Tulsa, Oklahoma office with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities
- Assist the Escheat Specialist with unclaimed property reporting tasks across all jurisdictions.
- Meet reasonable internal and external deadlines as required.
- Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work independently on assigned tasks yet know when to seek advice or ask questions.
- Assist Escheat Specialist with ongoing owner maintenance as required.
- Assist the Escheat Specialist by generating due diligence letters, performing quality control and distributions as required.
- Follow-up on M-Files (document workflow progression) cases.
- Other duties that may be assigned by the Escheat Specialist.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred, but not required.
- Experience working in the oil and gas upstream and/or midstream industry in Land, Division Orders, or Accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
- Strong spreadsheet, pivot table and logic aptitude.
- Flexibility, multi-tasking, problem solving, time management, personal organizational skills.
- Proficiency with or willingness to master various software applications (BOLO, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, M-files).
