About the Position:
Opportune is seeking a Manager to join our Midstream Consulting practice. This role will focus on delivering strategic and technology-driven solutions to clients in the midstream oil and gas sector, including pipeline operators and gas processing companies. In this role, you will:
- Advise clients and manage the successful software implementation process to improve productivity through integrated transaction and account management.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures (M&A) within the midstream space, ensuring seamless transition of assets and business processes.
- Evaluate and optimize transportation, storage, and processing operations, ensuring best-in-class midstream practices.
- Provide best practice advice related to business processes and efficient use of software applications such as Energy Components, Quorum TIPS, and QPTM.
- Assist in the installation, conversion, and support of software implementation both using the enterprise and on-demand solutions.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and provide solutions to ensure that projects are delivered successfully.
- Manage project teams, ensuring successful scoping, execution, and delivery of client engagements.
- Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into technology solutions.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or other applicable degree.
- 8 years of experience in the midstream oil and gas industry within consulting, operations, or technology solutions firm.
- Strong understanding of the relevant accounting software utilized by midstream operators of gathering, processing, pipeline, and LNG facilities: Quorum TIPS, QPTM, Energy Components, W Energy, Trellis, eONE, QLS, FlowCal.
- Experience leading business transformation, system implementation, or process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with FERC regulations, tariffs, and midstream financial processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
