We are seeking a part-time Café Attendant who will be responsible for preparing and serving breakfast and lunch menu items, assisting with the preparation of food for luncheons and other events, cleaning, and various other café duties.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepare breakfast and lunch foods and beverages and deliver in a timely manner
- Work as a team in the preparation of special requests for luncheons, meetings, and events
- Assist employees and guests with computer ordering problems
- Keep kitchen and café area clean and in pristine condition
- Operate the grill and dishwasher during your rotation
- Follow Café procedures when you notice that supplies are running low
- Treat co-workers, employees and guests with friendliness and respect
- Assist the Café Supervisor with the overall operation of the café
- Cross train in the Café Supervisor’s role to serve as back up when needed
- Serve as back up for Fitness Room maintenance when the Member Service Center Attendant is away
- Handle other necessary duties as assigned
- Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prepare and serve menu items tastefully and creatively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to tactfully interact with all levels of employees and café guests
- Must enjoy being a team player
- Basic computer skills
Desired Skills & Competencies:
- Catering experience
- Restaurant/food preparation experience
Physical Requirements:
- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally
- Exert up to 25 pounds of force
- Able to stand and walk continuously throughout the duration of the workday
- Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
