Director of Marketing

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership in the planning, development, implementation, and management of marketing and communication strategies and programs designed to reinforce and enhance the TowneBank brand.
• Provide leadership, direction, and coaching/development for the entire team.
• Leads Communications, Operations, Events, and Digital Team Leaders to accomplish company goals.
• Ensure consistent, high-quality brand messaging and awareness.
• Analyze member behavior and identify new opportunities for marketing and communication.
• Works closely with senior leadership as the communications partner on a variety of strategic and growth initiatives, including business development and continuous improvements to the member experience.
• Set goals, monitor performance, and create and manage budgets for marketing and communication teams and partners.
• Partner with key stakeholders across Towne to ensure the goals and efforts of the marketing department are aligned with the company’s goals.
• Provide oversight of the digital marketing program, including social media, internal and external website, and email campaigns to ensure consistency with Towne’s company values in both messaging and tone.
• Responsible for directing the overall strategy of print and media campaigns, including print/TV ads, articles, and member communication.
• Manage our online reputation in order to generate positive online reviews and provide guidance for the team in their responses to reviews.
• Partners with a network of reliable external agencies and marketing professionals to supply marketing services as needed.
• Conduct market research, leverage data analytics for member insights, and stay abreast of competitor positioning.
• Support Sales leadership in new business development initiatives.
• Develop and recruit best-in-class talent for team.
• Partners with the Product Management and Development Team to drive adoption of new product offerings.
• Chairs Marketing Council for Bank and TFSG marketing leaders to protect brand consistency for the enterprise.
• Exemplify Towne’s Culture of Caring in all member and employee interactions.
• Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Desired Skills & Competencies:

• 7 – 10 years’ experience in a marketing leadership or similar role.
• Experience in banking or financial services preferred.
• Advanced degree or Industry designations.
