What are the responsibilities and job description for the Escrow Services Representative position at Opportunities at Towne?
Process all escrow transactions as well as assist bank personnel and TowneBank members with any escrow inquiries to include monitoring, maintenance, and research of escrow related items.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Processing disbursements for hazard insurance, real estate taxes, and flood.
- Assist bank personnel and bank members with top quality member service in relation to loan escrow inquiries.
- Assist Manager with daily duties to include monitoring escrow reports and contacting agents/insurance companies or tax authorities when applicable.
- Assist in review and research related to annual escrow analysis.
- Assist in resolving any issues in relation to insurance cancellations or other problems may occur.
- Assist with loan payments and maintenance related to our mortgage serviced portfolio.
- Review and distribution of insurance policies received in the mail.
- Scanning of escrow related items for tracking purposes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Education
- Knowledge of Loan Documents with basic lending knowledge
- Strong customer service skills in person, on telephone, and through e-mail
- Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office products
Desired Skills & Competencies:
- Previous experience with escrow processing
- Education with an emphasis in banking/finance or accounting
- Previous work experience in retail or commercial lending with a bank or finance company
Physical Requirements:
- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
