BSK Associates is seeking an energetic, hardworking and dynamic Staff Engineer for a position within the Geotechnical Group at our Livermore (Bay Area) office located at 399 Lindberg Avenue in Livermore, CA working on education, healthcare, public works, transportation, solar, and water related projects. Compensation:
$35.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on experience and number of current certifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: You will be responsible for collection, documentation, analysis and reporting of field data; including construction observation and testing for compliance with construction plans and specifications, field sampling, geotechnical/geological logging of bore holes and test pits/trenches, computer drafting, report writing, task management, and general support as needed for mid- and senior-level engineers and geologists. This position will be a mix of office and fieldwork. You must be capable of taking directions and completing work independently with basic supervision. We are seeking a self-starter with a strong desire to learn and be part of a top-notch team. As your experience and technical judgment increases, tasks may include developing scope of services and fees, interacting with Client representatives, reviewing laboratory test data for completeness and accuracy, deriving conclusions and recommendations based on site geology and subsurface findings, and project coordination and management.
