Job Description

Salary: $23-$35/ hr

Job Summary:

The QMHP (A, C, and T) provides mental health services, including assessments, therapy, and crisis intervention, across various treatment settings. This role supports individuals with mental health disorders through direct care, case management, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Services & Therapy

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
• Offer crisis intervention and mental health stabilization.
• Help clients develop coping skills and improve well-being.
  
  

Collaboration & Case Management

• Work with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Refer clients to needed services (e.g., housing, employment, substance abuse treatment).
• Communicate with families and community providers for continuity of care.
  
  

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate and timely client records.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations.
• Keep treatment plans and progress notes up to date.
  
  

Crisis Management & Safety

• Use de-escalation techniques for crisis situations.
• Respond to suicide attempts and urgent mental health crises.
• Provide follow-up care and referrals as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• QMHP-A: Bachelor's or Master's in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• QMHP-C & T: Bachelor's in psychology, social work, or related field.
• 1 year of experience in mental health or crisis intervention (preferred).
  
  

Certifications:

• CPR/First Aid (within 30 days).
• MCR/Crisis Intervention training (within 90 days).
• State QMHP certification required.
  
  

Skills:

• Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills.
• Effective communication and documentation abilities.
• Familiarity with CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
  
  

Work Schedule & Compensation:

• Full-time or part-time; some evening/weekend availability required.
