Key Responsibilities:
Direct Services & Therapy
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
- Offer crisis intervention and mental health stabilization.
- Help clients develop coping skills and improve well-being.
- Work with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Refer clients to needed services (e.g., housing, employment, substance abuse treatment).
- Communicate with families and community providers for continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations.
- Keep treatment plans and progress notes up to date.
- Use de-escalation techniques for crisis situations.
- Respond to suicide attempts and urgent mental health crises.
- Provide follow-up care and referrals as needed.
Education & Experience:
- QMHP-A: Bachelor's or Master's in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
- QMHP-C & T: Bachelor's in psychology, social work, or related field.
- 1 year of experience in mental health or crisis intervention (preferred).
- CPR/First Aid (within 30 days).
- MCR/Crisis Intervention training (within 90 days).
- State QMHP certification required.
- Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills.
- Effective communication and documentation abilities.
- Familiarity with CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
- Full-time or part-time; some evening/weekend availability required.
