Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Toddler Classroom Teacher I to join our team. This role involves working with toddlers enrolled in our Early Head Start center-based program, developing and implementing daily lesson plans, and fostering a welcoming and safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Classroom Teacher II to develop, coordinate, and implement daily lesson plans, classroom activities, and outreach events.
- Guide children as they learn new skills, including feeding, toileting, and self-care.
- Foster a welcoming and safe learning environment that promotes exploration and encourages parents to be active participants in their child's education.
- Assist in supervision of classroom teaching staff, volunteers, and support management in ensuring compliance with day care licensing and Head Start Performance Standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or a related field with a focus on infant and toddler development.
- One year of experience in an early childhood program.
- Valid New York State driver's license and reliable transportation.
