Job Title: Toddler Classroom Teacher I: Early Head Start
We are seeking a creative and organized individual to join our teaching team in meeting the physical, cognitive, and social/emotional needs of toddlers enrolled in the Early Head Start center-based program.
About the Role:
- Develop, coordinate, and implement daily lesson plans, classroom activities, and outreach events in collaboration with the Classroom Teacher II.
- Guide children as they learn new skills including feeding, toileting, and self-care.
- Foster a welcoming and safe learning environment that promotes safe exploration for children and encourages parents to be active participants in their child's education.
- Assist in supervision of classroom teaching staff, volunteers, and support management in ensuring compliance with day care licensing and Head Start Performance Standards.
This is a year-round position that requires a strong commitment to early childhood education.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or a related field with a focus on infant and toddler development.
- One year of experience in an early childhood program.
- Valid New York State driver's license and reliable transportation.
