What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Opportunities?
Job Description: We are seeking a dependable and responsible Shuttle Driver to transport goods from East Knoxville to Chattanooga and back, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have some driving experience and a valid CDL driver's license or the ability to obtain one. This role involves loading, unloading, and making deliveries along the route, as well as some warehousing responsibilities. The position also requires the ability to operate a Fork Truck and maintain current licenses and health cards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shuttle deliveries between East Knoxville and Chattanooga on a daily basis.
- Load and unload shuttle trucks, making drops along the route.
- Perform basic warehousing tasks as needed.
- Safely operate a Fork Truck.
- Ensure vehicles are operated in compliance with all state and federal laws.
- Maintain logbooks for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Inspect vehicles and equipment to ensure operational safety and reliability.
- Complete shipping and receiving documentation for Stowers and customer records.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years' driving experience preferred (not required).
- Valid CDL driver's license preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Must pass a physical exam and drug screening.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Shift begins at 6:30 PM.
