Key Responsibilities as an Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician Lead
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities across shifts to ensure a timely response to equipment issues.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems (e.g., motors, drives, controls, PLCs) and mechanical systems (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps).
- Guide and mentor maintenance technicians, providing technical direction and on-the-job training as needed.
- Support planning and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Monitor equipment performance and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Ensure compliance with all plant safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and parts usage.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and management to minimize downtime and support operational goals.
- Participate in equipment installations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with strong knowledge in both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to lead by example in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer skills (email, MS Office).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and provide shift coverage when needed.
Working Conditions:
- Industrial manufacturing environment; exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
