What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Intern position at Opportunities?
The Human Resources intern will work on a variety of HR projects and tasks to gain knowledge and experience in various aspects of the Human Resources department. During the internship, this individual will have the ability to job shadow positions that they will be doing conducting phone interviews for, complete background checks, set up employee files, learn how payroll is processed and learn more about the benefit package offered to our employees.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate commitment and behavior aligned with the philosophy, mission, values and vision of Network Health
- Appropriately apply all organizational, regulatory, and credentialing principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies
- Assist department with recruiting activities for open positions. This includes posting positions to job sites, sourcing candidates, conducting phone screens, coordinating interviews with leadership team.
- Assist with maintenance of confidential pre-employment paperwork, including background checks and the set up of employee files.
- Get exposure to bi-weekly payroll processing, leave management and benefit administration processes within the organization.
- Represent and participate in various external events representing Network Health in the community.
- Perform research for various department projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or similar field.
- Junior or Senior status in school, working toward completion of a Bachelor's Degree
